Admission Guide on 2020 Dali University CSC scholarship for international students
In order to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and the people of the world, and to develop exchanges and cooperation between China and the rest of the world in various fields, Chinese Government has established scholarships for outstanding students, teachers and scholars from all over the world to study or conduct research in Chinese universities.
The Chinese Ministry of Education (MoE) has entrusted Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) to be responsible for the admission and management of Chinese government scholarship students.
Dali University is an institution approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education to accept Chinese government scholarship students, and will continue to admit full-time undergraduate and postgraduate (Master) students for Chinese government scholarships in 2020-2021 academic year.
Qualifications
1. An applicant must be non-Chinese national, in good health and meet the requirement of "Health Screening and Admission Criteria for Foreign Students Studying in China"; the scholarship is only offered to new students.
2. An applicant should be of good moral character, who will obey Chinese laws and regulations, university rules and disciplines, who will respect Chinese social customs.
3. A bachelor degree applicant should hold a Diploma or Certification of high school (or other equivalent) and shall be over 18 and less than 25 years old. A master degree applicant should hold a bachelor degree and shall be less than 35 years old.
Application Procedure

2. Applications are required to complete online procedures at Both CSC application system and Dali University international student service system.

1. Tuition, Registration, Internship and laboratory fees : covered
2. Accommodation: covered
3. Monthly subsidy provided
4. Health Insurance: covered

Documents to Submit
▲ CSC Application Form (provided on the CSC website)
▲ A notarial copy of Diploma or Certification (A graduate can provide a Provisional Certificate/Study Certificate)
▲ A notarial copy of Transcripts
▲Master degree applicant shall provide No less than two Reference Letters recommended by professor/associate professor
▲ A personal statement (Not less than 800 words) writtern in Chinese or English, including study/research plan, Non Criminal Records
▲ A notarial copy of valid HSK Certificate (A must for courses in Chinese medium), an enrollee should pass HSK4 for majors in Sciences and HSK5 for majors in Arts, and the score should be no less than 180. Excellent applicants, who fail to pass the corresponding Chinese proficiency test (HSK) before applying, will be able to apply for one-year Chinese language training after approval by the CSC, during which they will still be entitled to a full scholarship. A copy of valid certification of English Language ability (A must for courses in English Medium)

*All the documents and Notarization documents required above should be in Chinese or English. Please submit the above documents to both of the CSC and Dali University System.
Admission and Notificaiton
1. Application reviewing will be conducted for selection of candidates, by Dali University on the basis of the applicant's materials, GPA, language proficiency and entrance examination (If necessary). The list of selected candidates will be submitted to CSC for the final assessment. Qualified applicants who succeed in CSC assessment, would be admitted.
2. Admitted candidates shall be given Admission Notice, Application form for Study in China (JW201) and Enrolment Guide, and shall apply for the study visa from Chinese embassy or consulate, register at Dali University in time accordingly.
3. Admitted candidates can not apply for a change of the admitted institution, a transfer, major and study period.
4. Scholarship will not be retained for the candidates who cannot register before the given deadline without being permitted by CSC.
Enrollment
Based on the schedule given in the Admission Notice, candidates must arrive in China and register at Dali University on time. Annual assessment will be conducted every year for all the scholarship students, according to the relevant regulations of CSC. Students succeeded in the annual assessment can be eligible to hold the scholarship continuously next year.
Graduation and Degree
Diploma and Degree will be given and awarded to the qualified students who succeed the academic study and fulfilled the requirement of relevant rules in Dali University within the given time.
